- POSSIBILITIES OF MODERNIZING THE ARENA, POZNAŃ WILL HAVE A MODERN SPORTS AND ENTERTAINMENT FACILITY, WHERE INTERESTING CULTURAL AND SPORTS EVENTS CAN BE HELD - SAYS JACEK JAŚKOWIAK, THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF POZNAŃ. - THE ARENA IS A HISTORICAL POINT ON THE MAP OF POZNAŃ, FOR WHICH MANY RESIDENTS FEEL SENTIMENTAL. IN THE NEW VERSION, IT WILL BECOME A MODERN FACILITY, MEETS CONTEMPORARY STANDARDS, WHILE NOT LOSING ITS HISTORICAL VALUES. TOGETHER WITH THE ADJACENT PUBLIC SPACE, IT WILL BE A BUSY PLACE ATTRACTIVE FOR RESIDENTS AND TOURISTS.

The project assumes leaving the building's facade unchanged. Only the roof covering will undergo renovation. The external appearance will be dominated by steel, concrete and glass. The interior of the facility will undergo a complete reconstruction. Its design will focus on elegant, timeless minimalism.

The floor level will be lowered by almost 6 m. This will change the layout of the stands, which are currently arched and set back from the parquet. The new stands will be arranged parallel to the pitch, steeper and multi-level. This will allow for an increase in their capacity, but also for making space for so-called skyboxes, i.e. spaces of a higher standard intended for social and business meetings. The stands will be mobile, which will allow them to be completely folded and leave the parquet floor empty. The facility will also include changing rooms, dressing rooms, conference rooms, a food court and a restaurant with a terrace, which will be open not only during events organised in the hall.
