Hipodrom Wola will become the most prestigious and one of the most modern equestrian centers in this part of Europe. Today, the shares of the Equestrian Training Center Company were officially transferred to the MTP capital group, which has been organizing the largest indoor equestrian competition series in Central and Eastern Europe, CAVALIADA TOUR.

The Wola Hipodrom is a 46-hectare area that has been used for equestrian activities for over a hundred years. Although it still hosts horse competitions, runs a school, and operates a boarding house for horses, the center's glory days are definitely behind it, and its infrastructure requires thorough modernization.

Since 2005, the company has been owned by the Wielkopolska Regional Government, which took it over from the State Treasury. In November 2021, the councillors of the Regional Assembly decided to sell this property, and in December of the same year, the councillors of the City of Poznań expressed their consent to acquire the Wola Hippodrome free of charge. On June 30, 2023, the Poznań City Council passed a resolution on the City of Poznań making a non-cash contribution to the Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie company in the form of shares in the company Centrum Wyszkolenia Jeździeckiego Hipodrom Wola sp. z o.o. The official signing of the notarial deed took place on September 18.

- In June, we handed over a place with a unique past to the MTP Group - says Jacek Jaśkowiak, the mayor of Poznań. - I am convinced that we have put it in good hands. It is at the Fair that the Cavaliada has been organised for years, attracting many competitors and equestrian fans every year. In a few years, Cavaliada guests will be able to admire the Poznań Hippodrome in a new version.

Ambitious plans of Grupa MTP

- Over the next 5 years, Grupa MTP plans to build a world-class equestrian centre here, where horse racing, show jumping, driving, dressage and vaulting competitions will be held. Investments will be carried out in stages, which will allow for the simultaneous development of the competition calendar. The first competitions are planned for autumn this year – says Tomasz Kobierski, President of the Management Board of Grupa MTP

The Wola Hippodrome will also become a place for recreation and spending free time for the residents of Poznań, practicing sports and family events. It will also be a space for organising outdoor trade fair events, e.g. the National Exhibition of Breeding Animals, agricultural and horticultural exhibitions. This will allow for financial benefits that will help maintain this area with a unique past and function.
