Poznań to Host the 78th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2027
It’s official—Poznań will host the world’s largest space event, the 78th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in 2027.

During #IAC2024 in Milan, attended by over 11,000 participants, the General Assembly of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) officially approved Poland's bid—an outstanding success and a major opportunity for the Polish space sector.
The project will be organized by the Ministry of Development and Technology, the European Space Foundation (Host Organization), the Polish Space Agency, the City of Poznań, Grupa MTP and Poznań Congress Center, Poznań Convention Bureau, and The Way (producer of Impact), with support from LOT Polish Airlines.
The bid process lasted nearly two years, following several stages set by the IAF. The host for IAC 2027 was selected on the final day of this year's congress, with votes from hundreds of Federation members, including global space agencies, companies, universities, and NGOs.
Thank you for the overwhelming support! We are excited to begin preparations for this prestigious event, not just for Poland but for the entire CEE region.
